My Beliefs and Spirituality

I practise as a Solitary and Group Eclectic Wiccan/Witch, I have been studying Wicca for about 8 years now and I have been practising for the last 3, by practising I mean actually, physically doing rituals, group work and such. I also do Shamanic Journey Work and Drumming. I do not feel there is much difference between my practise of Eclectic Wicca and Traditional Witchcraft, simply because that everything has to grow and evolve. We would not be able to practise as they did way back when. the origins of Traditional Witchcraft is even unclear to the Trad. Witches. It is my beliefs that our form of Wicca, has parts of Traditional Witchcraft mixed into it. It is not possible for us to practise as it was practised by our ancestors.

As for the Wiccan Rede, I'm not sure what it's all about, sometimes I have my doubts as to what exactly it means. If I was to follow it word for word, I would not be able to speak as I want for fear of hurting someone elses feelings. I am not a "fluffy bunny" as I've heard on some websites. I believe that to everything there is a dark side, I respect the darker side of things. I know that with birth comes death, with sowing there is also reaping, after day comes night. i know that in order to live one must kill for food (now that is not necessarily true unless you participate in the hunting seasons). I respect the balance of nature, I accept that balance as a part of life. Along with the balance of nature comes growth. As days go by I grow along with my beliefs and my religion.

I do not care that my religion was the product of the imagination of a few men in the 1950's. My religion suits my spiritual needs.
